When choosing between the Acer Nitro 16 and ASUS Vivobook 17, consider how you'll use the laptop. The Acer Nitro 16, with its more powerful processor and graphics card, higher RAM, and larger battery capacity, is better suited for gaming, intensive engineering tasks, and heavy multimedia work, but it's heavier and less portable. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 17 is more budget-friendly, lighter, and offers a larger screen, making it well-suited for general use and everyday tasks, but it falls short for performance-intensive activities and has a smaller battery, thus a shorter battery life. Consider what's more important to you – performance for demanding applications and longer unplugged usage or affordability and ease of carrying. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2023
"Video editing, rendering and, of course, gaming represent the Nitro 16's core competencies with a Ryzen 7 7735HS and GeForce RTX 4070 providing the necessary power. Both chips run at consistently high clock speeds. A fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the required storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Nitro 16 AN16-41, Acer has a well-specced, mid-range gaming laptop in its portfolio."

NotebookCheck

Marvin Gollor | May 2022
"The ASUS Vivobook 17 is an affordable 17-inch laptop with passive cooling. On one hand, you get a really quiet and cool work device with a good system performance, many connections, good maintenance options, speakers acceptable for multimedia enjoyment, and a sharp and clear matte FHD IPS display with the Asus VivoBook 17 (F712JA). On the other hand, the USB-C port lacks Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the display, a higher brightness and better color space coverage."
