The Acer Aspire Go 15 is a budget-friendly option with a decent performance for general use, thanks to its 8GB of RAM and Intel i3 processor. It has a good quality IPS screen with Full HD resolution, which is suitable for everyday tasks and watching movies. However, it lacks advanced features like a touchscreen, high refresh rate, or premium colorspace coverage, which might not be ideal for more demanding visual tasks. Its battery life is quite good, offering around 9 hours of typical usage, and it's lightweight, making it a portable choice for those on the move.
On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" comes at a lower midrange price and offers better performance due to its more powerful AMD Ryzen 7 processor and 12GB of RAM, which is beneficial for more intensive tasks like light gaming or multitasking. It also includes a touchscreen, which can be handy for certain applications. The screen quality is similar to the Acer in terms of resolution and panel type, but the Lenovo has better color accuracy and brightness, enhancing the visual experience. However, it has a shorter battery life of about 10 hours and is slightly heavier, which could impact its portability.
In summary, if you prioritize longer battery life, a lighter design, and a lower price point for general use, the Acer Aspire Go 15 is a solid choice. But if you need a more powerful machine for multitasking and can compromise a bit on battery life and weight, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" with its touchscreen and better performance might be the way to go. How the Acer Aspire Go 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
