The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Swift X's higher resolution and brighter display outshine the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, making for crisper text and more vibrant images, which contributes to a more pleasant everyday computing experience. When it comes to engineering and design work, the Swift X's wider color gamut coverage presents more accurate colors, essential for tasks like photo editing or CAD work, although neither are ideal for color-critical work due to their poor gamut ratings. In the realm of gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short, with the lack of high refresh rates leading to less smooth visuals, although the Swift X maintains an advantage with slightly better resolution and panel technology.

How the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the Acer Swift X (2021) compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
