Choosing the Acer Aspire 3 15 will be easier on your wallet and offers decent performance for everyday tasks with good battery life; it's also lighter and thinner, improving portability. However, for tasks like 3D graphics, machine learning, or intensive engineering software, the Lenovo LOQ 16 distinctly outperforms the Acer with a more powerful processor, better graphics card, and more RAM, which can justify its higher cost; but it trades off with less portability due to its greater weight and slightly larger size. The Lenovo LOQ 16 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Lenovo LOQ 16 outperforms the Acer Aspire 3 15 in gaming and 3D tasks mainly because of its superior GPU, the Nvidia RTX 4050, compared to Acer's AMD Radeon 610M, and its higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz versus Acer's 60Hz, which provides smoother visuals. Additionally, the Lenovo's stronger CPU and better screen quality further contribute to its 'good' performance in gaming and 3D applications.

The Lenovo LOQ 16 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers adequate display resolution and brightness for everyday tasks, but its limited color gamut does not provide the vibrancy needed for precise engineering work and its lower refresh rate diminishes the experience for fast-paced gaming. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 16 with its higher quality panel and better color reproduction meets the demands of engineering and design users who require accurate colors, but like the Acer, it falls short for gaming due to a refresh rate that can't keep up with high-speed visuals. For general use, both laptops suffice, but for specialized tasks, the Lenovo edges ahead for design work, while neither is ideal for gaming enthusiasts.

"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
