The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly option that offers sufficient performance for general use, a lightweight design, and a good battery life, making it suitable for everyday tasks and portability. However, if you require higher performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or intensive engineering applications, the Dell G15 5520 with its powerful processor and high-end GPU is a better fit, though it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, reducing its portability. The Dell's robust gaming capabilities also come at a higher price. Both have full-sized screens, but the Dell offers a significantly better experience for fast-paced gaming and demanding graphical tasks. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 is equipped with a weaker CPU and less RAM than the Dell G15 5520, affecting performance in demanding tasks; its smaller storage capacity and lower-quality screen also make it less suitable for intensive applications or long periods of use. On the other hand, the Dell G15 5520, with its potent CPU, ample RAM, high-quality screen, and better battery life, stands out for general use, although it is less portable and has a higher operating noise due to its gaming-oriented design.

The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 provides a balance of resolution and brightness suitable for everyday tasks and some professional applications but lacks the color accuracy needed for precision work in engineering and design. The Dell G15 5520 offers better color reproduction for detailed design work, with improved brightness and resolution that benefit both general users and professionals, making on-screen content more vibrant and clear. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth motion and response during fast-paced scenes.

"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
