If you're looking for an affordable laptop primarily for everyday tasks, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly choice, but don't expect high performance with demanding applications. The ASUS Zenbook 13, while being pricier, offers better performance for more intensive tasks like engineering or 3D work, and its smaller size makes it more portable. However, for tasks like gaming or machine learning, neither is particularly suited; you may need to look at higher-end models for those uses. Consider battery life, as well, where ultrabooks like the Zenbook typically outperform budget models like the Aspire. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 13 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 has a fair evaluation for general use due to its adequate yet less powerful CPU, the AMD Ryzen 3 7320U, and its IPS screen that offers decent display quality, but it lags behind the ASUS Zenbook 13 which is considered good for general use because of its superior AMD Ryzen 7 5700U CPU and exceptional OLED display that delivers better color accuracy and contrast, plus higher portability with a lighter weight and a more compact form. While both have similar RAM which is crucial for multitasking, the Zenbook outperforms with its longer battery life and more storage capacity, enhancing overall usability and making it well-suited for more demanding general use tasks.

The ASUS Zenbook 13 is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15, with its AMD Ryzen 3 CPU and integrated Radeon GPU, offers moderate processing power for engineering tasks, and though its IPS screen is adequate, the Zenbook 13's OLED display with AMD Ryzen 7 and integrated Vega graphics provides superior visuals and computing muscle, but its smaller size makes it more portable. Both models feature good portability, keyboard and speaker quality, with the Zenbook also offering a higher-quality screen and less operating noise, benefiting longer work sessions with less fatigue.

The ASUS Zenbook 13 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3's screen may provide adequate clarity and brightness for tasks like browsing and watching videos but may lack the precise colors and resolution needed for detailed engineering work. The ASUS Zenbook 13 offers vibrant, sharp visuals that suit professionals doing photo editing or CAD design, thanks to its range of color coverage. However, both laptops' screens fall short for gaming and 3D applications, as they don't have the high refresh rates required for smooth motion and fast-paced action.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the ASUS Zenbook 13 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Asus ZenBook 13 is a compact 13-inch laptop with a fast Ryzen 7 5800U and OLED display. The subnotebook is also light and the modern design is convincing. The selection of high-quality materials make the device not only light, but also very stable. In addition, the visuals and haptics of the device offers a high-quality impression. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800U is a very good fit for the ZenBook 13, ensuring a high performance in the test. However, in terms of the 3D performance, we also notice that the Vega architecture is beginning to hit its limits."
