The Audeze LCD 2 Classic offers superior sound quality and a wider soundstage which make them excellent for an immersive music listening experience, but they are open-back and therefore not suitable for noisy environments as they'll let sound in and out. They are also less portable and have no mic, making them less ideal for calls or gaming. Conversely, the JBL Quantum 100, while not matching the Audeze's audio quality, features a closed-back design which is good for noise isolation and includes a boom mic that's highly rated for calls and gaming communication. They are also more lightweight and suitable for varied multimedia content at a more budget-friendly price point. Give Feedback

"These headphones outdo rival planar magnetic headphones, especially in terms of dynamics. Compared to the Hifiman Ananda or the Hifiman Edition XS there is noticeably more slam in the sound, particularly in the bass. The LCD-2C gives you a fantastic sense of quiet dynamics with crystalline precision. This is evident also in our clinical tests, where it’s just easier to understand spoken text at very low volumes."
"I appreciate a functional piece of tech as much as I do gear on the bleeding edge, and the JBL Quantum 100 certainly falls in the former category. The sound is reasonably good, the built-in microphone is surprisingly reliable and it has a thoughtful design for the price. It lacks the convenience of Bluetooth, sure, but sometimes it’s nice not to have to worry about the finicky nature of wireless communication and go with good old hard-wired tech."
