If you are looking for a more budget-friendly option with great comfort and a good overall sound quality, the AKG K712 Pro may be the better choice. However, if you are willing to spend more for a wider soundstage and prefer a warmer sound character, the Audeze LCD 2 Classic is an excellent option. Keep in mind that both headphones are open-back, meaning they won't isolate noise well and are better suited for quiet environments. Neither of these headphones are ideal for exercise or travel due to their size and lack of portability features. Neither model has a built-in microphone, so they're not designed for calls or meetings. They are both wired, so you won't have issues with battery life, but also won't have the freedom of wireless connectivity. The Audeze are quite heavy compared to the AKG, which could affect comfort during prolonged listening sessions. Give Feedback

"AKG has created a mini-masterpiece in my opinion. I enjoy this headphone a great deal and it will become my go-to reference headphone for the time being. She is slick, sexy, well-balanced, and crazy comfortable."
"These headphones outdo rival planar magnetic headphones, especially in terms of dynamics. Compared to the Hifiman Ananda or the Hifiman Edition XS there is noticeably more slam in the sound, particularly in the bass. The LCD-2C gives you a fantastic sense of quiet dynamics with crystalline precision. This is evident also in our clinical tests, where it’s just easier to understand spoken text at very low volumes."
