The Sony A95K OLED offers superior picture quality, perfect for movie enthusiasts and those looking for vibrant colors and deep blacks. It's also better for gaming with fast-moving images. However, this model is significantly pricier. On the other hand, the Sony X95J LCD is less expensive and delivers good performance in bright rooms thanks to its LCD panel, making it suitable for daytime viewing in well-lit environments. It's also quite versatile for different types of content but doesn't quite match the OLED's superior contrast and viewing angles. If budget is a concern and you have a bright viewing room, the X95J is a solid choice; but if you want the best visual experience and have a darker room, the A95K may be worth the extra investment. The Sony A95K (OLED) is best in class for sports, while the Sony X95J (LCD) is very good.
The Sony A95K's OLED screen provides excellent response time and wide viewing angles which is ideal for fast-paced sports, while its perfect black uniformity ensures a great picture with no distracting variations. The Sony X95J, though very good in motion processing and reflection handling, can't match the A95K's almost instantaneous response time and broad viewing angles, and has slightly inferior gray uniformity, but it's still an excellent choice for watching sports in bright rooms due to its strong reflection handling.

How the Sony A95K (OLED) and the Sony X95J (LCD) compare to other TVs
"A95K will be one of the highest-performing TVs of the year, if not the hottest TV of 2022. The color on the Sony A95K is the most accurate I have ever seen. Certain hues of red just haven’t been produced on a TV … until now. Perhaps with deeper scrutiny, I may one day find some nit to pick, but in the time I was able to spend with the A95K, I was simply thrilled."
