The Samsung Q60B is a suitable option if you're looking for a television that performs well in bright rooms, as it has a higher bright room performance. However, if you watch a lot of content in darker settings, the Vizio M-Series may be preferable due to its superior dark room performance. Gaming enthusiasts might lean toward the Vizio M-Series, which offers a better gaming experience. On the other hand, the Samsung Q60B usually comes with a somewhat higher price tag, reflecting its bright room capabilities. Both models have 60Hz LCD screens and multiple HDMI ports, but the Vizio M-Series includes an additional HDMI port, which could be more convenient if you have many devices. Neither TV is known for outstanding built-in speakers, suggesting that an external sound solution might be a worthwhile addition regardless of which TV you choose. The Samsung Q60B is a good choice if you prefer a TV that performs better in bright rooms, as it has a higher bright room score compared to the Vizio M-Series. However, the Vizio M-Series could be better if dark room performance is important to you, as it has a better dark room score. If gaming is a priority, you might lean towards the Vizio M-Series, which has a higher gaming score. However, keep in mind that the Samsung Q60B typically costs a bit more than the Vizio M-Series, so you would be paying extra for its bright room performance. Both TVs are equipped with 60Hz LCD screens and multiple HDMI ports, but the Vizio M-Series has four HDMI ports, one more than the Samsung Q60B, which could be convenient if you have multiple devices to connect. Neither TV has great built-in speakers, so you might consider an external sound system regardless of your choice. Give Feedback

CNET

David Katzmaier | June 2022
"Samsung's 2022 QLED workhorse shines in bright rooms and with HDR. The Samsung Q60B stands out from the slew of entry-level TVs with an ultra-thin frame, a skinny profile from the side and even narrow stand legs. The Q60B is a very good bright-room TV, and my subjective impression of its ample light output was proven by measurements."

About Samsung

Samsung, a South Korean electronics manufacturer, holds the title of being the largest global TV vendor in terms of units sold. They offer a diverse lineup of TV products that cater to various budget ranges. A notable achievement in recent years is the development of Quantum Dots, a technology that enhances color reproduction, resulting in richer and more vibrant hues. Samsung TVs are well-regarded for their high manufacturing quality and user-friendly software, making them an excellent choice for consumers seeking an intuitive viewing experience.

About Vizio

Vizio is an American company. While they initially gained recognition for offering budget-friendly TVs, they have successfully expanded their product lineup to include high-end options as well. They manufacture TVs primarily in Mexico, China, and Vietnam. Similar to many Korean TV brands, Vizio developed its own smart TV software called SmartCast. In the past, SmartCast was not the best smart TV software, but it has evolved so that it is now good for using your TV and connecting to streaming services.
