For better overall picture quality, including movies and gaming, the LG C3 OLED TV is a preferred option. Its strengths lie in superior contrast, excellent black uniformity, and wide viewing angles, making it ideal for dark room viewing. The OLED screen type also offers deeper blacks and more vibrant colors. However, the Sony X90J LCD TV, while usually less expensive, is a solid choice for bright room usage due to its higher SDR brightness and may be more suitable if you often watch TV in well-lit environments. It is also a decent option for gaming but falls short in overall picture quality when compared to the LG C3, especially in color volume and response time. Both TVs support Dolby Vision and HLG, but if sound quality is important, the LG C3 has better speakers.
