The LG C2 is an OLED TV which generally offers a premium viewing experience with higher overall picture quality, especially in dark rooms due to its perfect black levels and great viewing angles. It also has a slight edge in gaming performance. However, it is often significantly more expensive than the Sony X85J. The Sony X85J, on the other hand, is an LED LCD TV which does better in bright rooms compared to the LG C2, and has a lower price. Its sports performance is also good, but it doesn't handle dark room viewing as well as the OLED due to its lower contrast and black uniformity. If you watch a lot of movies in the dark and play video games, and don’t mind the higher cost, the LG C2 might be a better choice. However, if you're looking for a TV that performs well in bright conditions and is more budget-friendly, the Sony X85J could be a good option. "The C2 offers image quality that's a clear step above any non-OLED TV I've seen. The C2 is rare among high-end TVs in that all four of its HDMI ports support 4K/120, great for hard-core gamers with multiple next-gen devices. The C2 is plenty bright enough for just about any viewing environment. It also outperforms QLED TVs like the Samsung QN90B and TCL 6-Series. That's why I consider the LG C2 the best high-end TV for the money of 2022."
