For overall picture quality, gaming, and dark room viewing, the LG B2 OLED TV will offer superior performance compared to the Sony X85J LCD TV. The OLED technology in the LG B2 delivers perfect blacks and a wider viewing angle, making it excellent for movies and immersive gaming. However, if you watch TV in a very bright room, the Sony X85J could be a better choice as it has a slightly higher bright room performance, meaning it can handle reflections and maintain picture quality better than the LG B2 in well-lit environments. Regarding price, the LG B2 is often slightly less expensive, but this may vary depending on current pricing and promotions. Keep in mind that both TVs are similarly equipped with features like HDMI ports and support for various HDR formats, but only the LG B2 supports Dolby Vision for enhanced picture quality on compatible content. Tom's guide

Nick Pino | March 2023
"The LG B2 OLED pairs lush, saturated colors and perfect contrast with a 120Hz screen, HDMI 2.1 ports and a great smart TV platform. The LG B2 OLED is an ideal alternative to the LG C2 OLED for folks who want a taste of OLED life without the sticker price that usually comes with it. The LG B2 OLED does a lot right in terms of performance, color saturation is wonderful and contrast is second-to-none. Not only did color saturation and off-axis viewing impress me, harder to quantify specs like motion processing and upscaling really blew me away as well."
