If you prioritize high-quality picture for movies, sports, and gaming, especially in dark rooms, and are willing to pay more, the LG B2 (OLED) is an excellent choice. It has very good overall picture quality, excels in dark environments thanks to its perfect black uniformity, and has low input lag for gaming. However, its performance is just good, not best-in-class, in bright rooms. The TCL S450F (LCD) is a budget-friendly option, but with only fair picture quality across the board and poor local dimming, it won't deliver the same level of experience. Ideal for casual viewing in less challenging environments, it falls short for critical viewing or gaming. Both TVs support HDR content, but the LG likely offers better HDR performance due to its superior contrast and brightness capabilities. Keep in mind, the LG's OLED screen is more prone to permanent burn-in when used as a monitor or for gaming with static elements over long periods, something to consider if you intend to use the TV in this way. "The LG B2 OLED pairs lush, saturated colors and perfect contrast with a 120Hz screen, HDMI 2.1 ports and a great smart TV platform. The LG B2 OLED is an ideal alternative to the LG C2 OLED for folks who want a taste of OLED life without the sticker price that usually comes with it. The LG B2 OLED does a lot right in terms of performance, color saturation is wonderful and contrast is second-to-none. Not only did color saturation and off-axis viewing impress me, harder to quantify specs like motion processing and upscaling really blew me away as well."
