If you prioritize overall picture quality, especially for movies and gaming, the LG B2 OLED TV is the superior choice, providing better contrast, black uniformity, and response time, which is crucial for a true cinematic and immersive gaming experience. The OLED technology offers excellent viewing angles and superior dark room performance. On the downside, it may not be as bright as some LCD TVs and could be more susceptible to burn-in if static images are displayed for extended periods. The Samsung Frame Series LCD TV, while more expensive, doubles as a piece of art with its unique frame-like design. It has a brighter screen, making it better suited for well-lit rooms. However, it may not match the LG B2 in terms of picture quality in dark rooms due to lower contrast and black uniformity. Additionally, with no local dimming, the picture quality may not be as vibrant during dark scenes in movies. Keep in mind the gaming performance is very good on both, but if you're a hardcore gamer, the LG B2's slightly faster response time would be more beneficial. Both TVs support common HDR formats, but LG's model includes Dolby Vision, which may offer enhanced viewing for compatible content. Sound quality is generally adequate for both, but external speakers or a sound system may be preferred for an optimal audio experience. Give Feedback

Tom's guide

Nick Pino | March 2023
"The LG B2 OLED pairs lush, saturated colors and perfect contrast with a 120Hz screen, HDMI 2.1 ports and a great smart TV platform. The LG B2 OLED is an ideal alternative to the LG C2 OLED for folks who want a taste of OLED life without the sticker price that usually comes with it. The LG B2 OLED does a lot right in terms of performance, color saturation is wonderful and contrast is second-to-none. Not only did color saturation and off-axis viewing impress me, harder to quantify specs like motion processing and upscaling really blew me away as well."
