The LG UP7000 is typically much less expensive and offers decent overall picture quality, making it suitable for general viewing. It, however, has limited brightness, making it less ideal for very bright rooms, and its dark room performance is not very good due to low contrast. It also doesn't perform as well for gaming. On the other hand, the Samsung Frame Series costs more but offers superior picture quality, better brightness for both SDR and HDR content, and is more suitable for dark rooms. It's an excellent choice for gaming with its higher gaming performance score and supports a variety of HDR formats, making it great for movies and gaming. It also has a good reflection handling for brighter rooms and more HDMI ports if connecting multiple devices is important. Given these considerations, if budget is a primary concern and you're looking for a TV with good general viewing capabilities, the LG UP7000 is a reasonable choice. However, if you're willing to invest more for better overall performance, particularly in gaming, movies, and in both bright and dark rooms, the Samsung Frame Series would be the better option.
