If you are on a budget and mostly watch content in dark rooms, the TCL S450R would save you money while offering fair overall performance and excellent black uniformity, suitable for watching movies. However, it has poor local dimming and HDR brightness, which might not be ideal for high dynamic range content. Conversely, the LG QNED90 is more expensive but provides very good gaming experiences and sound quality with its higher speaker power, better motion processing, and a wider color gamut for a more vibrant picture. If you frequently watch sports, gaming, or use the TV in brighter rooms, the LG would perform better due to its good reflection handling and brightness. The LG's superior response time and input lag also make it a better choice for gamers. The tradeoff comes in the form of both a higher cost and potentially poorer viewing angles, which could be a consideration if you often watch TV with a large group spaced out across the room.
