In contrast, the Vizio V-Series performs slightly better for such content, as it has higher contrast and better black uniformity, although it also lacks local dimming and has a limited color volume, affecting the richness and accuracy of colors in various contents.

The Insignia F30 is considered poor for watching cartoons and animation because, despite having very good colors out of the box, its color gamut is poor, limiting the range of colors it can display. The Vizio V-Series, on the other hand, is good for such content as it also has very good colors out of the box while offering a better color gamut, providing a wider spectrum of colors that enhance the vibrancy of animated content.

The Insignia F30 struggles with upscaling and colors out of the box, presenting a lower quality image for news and talk shows, while the Vizio V-Series, despite also having a poor SDR brightness, offers better upscaling and colors that may be better suited for such content. The Vizio's ability to upscale content more effectively and its somewhat better rendering of colors can make it a more suitable choice over the Insignia F30 for regular TV program viewing.

The Insignia F30 and Vizio V-Series both provide a fair experience for watching sports due in part to their adequate response time and motion processing, which are critical for fast-paced games; yet, both models have challenges with reflections and limited viewing angles, making them less ideal for brightly-lit rooms and group viewing. While both TVs manage reflections to some extent, the gray uniformity, which is somewhat important for sports to avoid distracting areas on the screen, is not as consistent for the Vizio V-Series as it is for Insignia F30.
