If you're on a tight budget and mostly watch content in brightly lit rooms, the Insignia F20 could save you money, although it won't provide a good viewing experience due to lower picture quality and reflectiveness. The Sony X77L might cost more, but offers a better experience for general viewing and bright room usage, with improved gray and black uniformity as well as better upscaling for lower-resolution content. For gaming and watching movies in dark rooms, neither TV is ideal, but if you need better sound and plan to use voice commands, the Sony X77L is equipped with superior speakers and accessibility features.
