If you're seeking superior overall picture quality and are comfortable with a higher price, the Sony A95K may be the better choice, especially if you enjoy watching movies or sports. It excels in both dark and bright rooms, offers better viewing angles, and has outstanding color performance straight out of the box.
However, if you are budget-conscious, the Hisense U8G offers a very good picture quality for its price, especially in bright rooms and for gaming. Its dark room performance is also good, but it may not match the Sony A95K, particularly in terms of black uniformity and viewing angle.
For gaming, both TVs offer low input lag and high response times, but the Sony A95K may have a slight edge. Additionally, the Sony includes quality built-in speakers, whereas with the Hisense, you may want to consider additional speakers for better sound. Both support various HDR formats and have similar connectivity options. Give Feedback

The Sony A95K (OLED) is best in class for sports, while the Hisense U8G (LCD) is only fair.
The Sony A95K excels in sports viewing with its OLED panel ensuring perfect black uniformity, excellent response time to avoid motion blur, and wide viewing angles, which maintains consistent picture quality from any seat. The Hisense U8G, while fair for sports, has a lower response time and motion processing quality, which may result in some blur during fast action, and it has narrower viewing angles, meaning the image might look different when viewed from the side.

The Sony A95K (OLED) is best in class for cartoons & animation, while the Hisense U8G (LCD) is very good.
The Hisense U8G (LCD) delivers vibrant colors straight out of the box, making cartoons & animation look great with a very good color gamut; however, the Sony A95K (OLED) is superior for the same content due to its excellent out-of-box color accuracy and even wider color gamut. While both are suitable for cartoons and animation, the difference in color volume and gray uniformity may also contribute to the Sony A95K providing a richer viewing experience, especially in scenes where these aspects are pivotal.

How the Hisense U8G (LCD) and the Sony A95K (OLED) compare to other TVs
"A95K will be one of the highest-performing TVs of the year, if not the hottest TV of 2022. The color on the Sony A95K is the most accurate I have ever seen. Certain hues of red just haven’t been produced on a TV … until now. Perhaps with deeper scrutiny, I may one day find some nit to pick, but in the time I was able to spend with the A95K, I was simply thrilled."
