For an all-around good viewing experience at a lower mid-range price, the Hisense U7H could be a solid choice. It performs better for gaming and in bright rooms compared to the TCL R745, and it's well-suited for watching movies and TV shows. However, for very large screen sizes or if premium build quality and speaker power are more important, the TCL R745 favors those aspects but at a higher price. The TCL R745 may not perform as well in a bright room or for sport content viewing. Both models support various HDR formats, but the Hisense U7H has a slightly better color out of the box and color gamut, which means its picture might be more vibrant and true-to-life. If a tight budget is a concern, the Hisense U7H may be the wiser investment. Give Feedback

The Hisense U7H (LCD) is good for movies & TV, while the TCL R745 (LCD) is poor.
The Hisense U7H is better for movies and cinematic TV because it has a significantly higher contrast, more effective local dimming, and superior black uniformity than the TCL R745, which results in deeper blacks and more detailed dark scenes. While both TVs may not excel in gray uniformity and viewing angles, these factors are less critical than the ability to produce true blacks, and the Hisense U7H's shortcomings in these areas are mitigated by its strengths in the more important factors.

The Hisense U7H (LCD) is good for cartoons & animation, while the TCL R745 (LCD) is poor.
The Hisense U7H offers better colors straight out of the box and a wider color gamut, which is crucial for the vivid and varied hues typically seen in cartoons and animation, whereas the TCL R745, although having good colors out of the box, falls short in color gamut and volume, which can make certain colors in animations look less vibrant and diverse.

How the Hisense U7H (LCD) and the TCL R745 (LCD) compare to other TVs
"We loved the Hisense U7H. It was able to deliver an excellent all-around image quality in its price range. The TV excels at controlling its backlighting in a way that ensures you’ll never experience blooming to a level of being distracting, something that I was a little surprised to see given the lack of Mini LED. The TV doesn’t just get decently bright it offers relatively accurate color reproduction for a TV in this price range. The TV is being billed excellent for gaming."

About Hisense
Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.
About TCL
TCL, the highly recognizable TV brand from China, has firmly established itself as the second-largest manufacturer in terms of sales volume. Renowned for striking an impressive balance between affordability, picture quality, and design, TCL TVs deliver a compelling overall package. While they have traditionally excelled in the low-end and midrange TV segments, TCL has recently made remarkable strides in the realm of high-end televisions, introducing impressive models that rival top competitors. Most TCL TVs use Roku software which is very user friendly and easy to use, but they have a few other models that use Google TV which has the largest app selection, but is not as user friendly as Roku.
