The Amazon Omni QLED offers better overall picture quality, is better suited for movies and dark room viewing, and has higher contrast and brightness scores, which means richer colors and more detailed scenes in both standard and high dynamic range content. It has a midrange price point but typically costs much more than the Insignia F30. The Insignia F30, on the other hand, is positioned as a budget option, costing significantly less. While it offers adequate performance, its picture quality, contrast, and brightness are notably lower than the Amazon Omni. It does have a slight edge in color accuracy out of the box but is less suited for dark room viewing due to its lower black uniformity. If picture quality, especially in darker settings, and a more feature-rich TV is priority and you're okay with a higher price, go for the Amazon Omni QLED. However, if you are looking to save money and need a TV that performs adequately for various content types, the Insignia F30 may meet your needs, particularly in brighter rooms. Give Feedback

Tech Advisor

Jim Martin | April 2023
"This really is a TV designed for the streaming generation ... And it’s good to see support for both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision because it means more of the content you stream will be available in HDR. Overall, the Omni QLED is an impressive TV. It’s pretty bright, has good contrast and – thanks to those quantum dots – vibrant colours."

Tom's guide

Michael Gowan | August 2021
"Still one of the best bargain TVs. The best feature remains its quick and responsive implementation of Fire TV OS and all the goodies that come with it. Having Alexa inside the Insignia 4K Ultra HD Fire TV Edition brings a lot of value, from voice control of TV functions to access to your smart home devices."

To enhance their popularity, these TVs integrate features from the Amazon ecosystem, including Alexa, providing users with a seamless and interconnected TV experience.

About Insignia

Insignia is an in-house brand from BestBuy. It offers a range of TV sets that are lower-end and smaller size. They are manufactured in China by Hisense, which is another TV brand. Insignia TVs use Amazon's Fire OS as the smart TV software, providing users with a highly user-friendly experience.
