The Asus VG28UQL1A presents a strong value for casual gaming and everyday productivity, also offering a very good image clarity. However, if you prioritize high-quality visuals and color accuracy for tasks like photo editing or if you enjoy HDR gaming and media consumption, the KTC M27P20 Pro, despite being a bit more expensive, delivers superior HDR performance, better contrast and brightness, and excellent color range. It also slightly outperforms in competitive gaming due to better motion handling. If budget allows and you seek top-notch visual fidelity, the KTC is the stronger option, but for more budget-conscious buyers or those with a focus on casual use, the Asus is still a worthy choice. PC World

Matthew Smith | March 2022
"The Asus TUF Gaming VG28UQL1A is, in many ways, a great 4K gaming monitor. It has a sharp, accurate image with good contrast and excellent motion clarity. Luminance uniformity is its only weakness. The monitor’s $799 MSRP is relatively affordable for a 4K HDMI 2.1 monitor, as well."

TFT Central

Simon Baker | January 2023
"Gaming and HDR are the two target uses for this screen, and it does generally very well in both. For gaming there are good response times, a single overdrive mode experience for VRR, super low input lag and solid support for latest gen consoles too. The moderately high 160Hz refresh rate provides good motion clarity, and is a nice combination with the high 4K resolution that provides a sharp and crisp image."
