If you're looking for a larger screen with an ultrawide aspect for immersive gaming and media, the Acer X34V with its curved display might be the better option. Its price point is lower, yet it offers high contrast and brightness suitable for a great HDR experience. However, for fast-paced, competitive gaming, the LG 27GR95QL's higher refresh rate would provide smoother motion. The LG has a standard widescreen format which might be more versatile for general productivity tasks and it’s better for competitive gaming, but it will cost you more.
