If you prioritize a touch screen and a higher battery capacity with a slightly more portable form factor, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 may be your choice. However, if you are looking for a cost-effective option that still provides solid performance for general use and has a full-size HDMI port, the MSI Modern 14 could suit your needs well, albeit with lower battery life and no touch screen capability. Both laptops offer similar storage and memory, but for vibrant screen colors and slightly better build quality, the Galaxy Book2 could be preferable. Keep in mind the MSI might save you money at the expense of some premium features found in the Galaxy Book2. Give Feedback

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 is good for engineering and design, while the MSI Modern 14 is only fair.
The Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 outperforms the MSI Modern 14 for engineering and design use largely due to its superior OLED screen which offers better color coverage and contrast, alongside a more powerful Intel i7 processor with Iris Xe graphics. The MSI, while still suitable, has a less vibrant IPS display and an AMD Ryzen processor with Vega graphics that may not perform as robustly in demanding tasks, although it may be slightly more portable due to its larger screen size.

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 has a better screen than the MSI Modern 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 stands out with its bright, high-resolution display, offering clearer images and better viewing angles, which makes it superior to the MSI Modern 14's adequate but less impressive screen. In engineering and design, the Galaxy Book2 360's broader color gamut enables more accurate color representation, a significant advantage over the MSI Modern 14, whose narrower color gamut can limit color precision. However, for 3D and gaming, neither laptop is ideal since their screens lack the high refresh rate needed for smooth visuals, although the MSI may fall further behind due to its lower resolution and panel quality.

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 and MSI Modern 14 are both good for general use.
The MSI Modern 14 offers solid performance suitable for daily tasks with a capable AMD processor and adequate RAM, alongside a decently bright IPS screen; however, its average battery life and heavier build make it less ideal for on-the-go users compared to the Samsung Galaxy Book2 360, which shines with its vibrant OLED touchscreen fit for both laptop and tablet use, a powerful Intel processor, and longer battery life, in a lighter and more portable design.

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 and MSI Modern 14 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The MSI Modern 14 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen integrated graphics solution which delivers moderate performance for gaming and 3D applications; however, it has a standard refresh rate screen, which limits the smoothness in fast-paced scenes. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 also offers an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics chip that can handle similar tasks, complemented by an OLED screen that provides high-quality visuals, yet it shares the same refresh rate limitation for gaming and 3D content.

How the MSI Modern 14 and the Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
"Samsung gets all the basics right with the Book2 360. Its convertible design works well in both laptop and tablet modes, yet still manages to be highly portable, with impressive battery life and eye-catching AMOLED display. The Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 measures just 12.9mm thick and weighs 1.16kg, making it one of the most affordable ultra-portables currently available. It’s sturdily built too, so it can cope with life on the road."
