The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers longer battery life, which is important if you need to work without regular access to power. With a premium business appearance, it might be more suitable for professional environments and it also features a higher color accuracy, which can be beneficial for tasks involving photo or video editing. On the other hand, the MSI Modern 14 is less expensive and thus could be more appealing if budget is a concern. Additionally, its lighter weight makes it slightly more portable, though the difference is minimal. Both have similar screen sizes and resolutions, but the MSI has a less color-accurate display and significantly shorter battery life, which may limit its use on the go. The performance capabilities for general use are closely matched; however, the HP has a slight edge in more demanding tasks such as 3D work, machine learning, and engineering applications. If these more intensive uses are part of your regular workload, the HP might be the better option despite its higher cost. Give Feedback

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen than the MSI Modern 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers a high-resolution display which, combined with good brightness, enhances visual clarity and detail, making it suitable for general use and engineering tasks that require precise color representation and crisp text. However, its standard refresh rate is not ideal for Gaming and 3D applications where smoother motion is crucial for an optimal experience. On the other hand, the MSI Modern 14 provides adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and professional work, but similar to the HP, it lacks the high refresh rate desired for gaming and 3D rendering, which can hinder fast-paced visuals.

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the MSI Modern 14 compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
