The MSI GP66 Leopard is often significantly less expensive when compared to the MSI Stealth GS66 and comes with a Nvidia RTX 3080, which is highly capable for gaming and 3D tasks. However, it has shorter battery life and is heavier, making it less portable. The Stealth GS66, despite being more expensive, has better performance scores for engineering, 3D rendering, and machine learning due to its newer Intel i7-12700H processor, and its battery life is longer. Its higher portability score is also due to it being lighter and thinner, benefitting those who move around frequently. Both have the same amount of storage and RAM, and neither has a touchscreen. The Stealth GS66, with a higher refresh rate display, might be better for fast-paced games and comes with Windows 11 Pro, while the Leopard runs Windows 10 Home. If cost is a significant factor and you mainly need high gaming performance, the Leopard is a good choice. If you value portability, longer battery life, and overall higher performance for various demanding tasks, and are willing to invest more, the Stealth GS66 is more suitable. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | December 2021
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | February 2022
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
