The MSI Raider GE78 has a better screen than the MSI GP66 Leopard for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MSI GP66 Leopard's screen provides satisfactory clarity and brightness for everyday tasks, along with a resolution that supports detailed engineering work, although its color range may not fully satisfy professional design needs. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE78 offers enhanced visual fidelity across general and engineering uses due to its superior brightness and more comprehensive color gamut, aiding precision in design-related activities. However, for gaming and 3D applications, where fluid motion is key, both models fall short, as they lack the high refresh rates necessary for a smooth visual experience.

"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
"Performance-wise, the GE78 offers a significant boost over the GE77 for just slightly higher power consumption. You'll have to get the RTX 4080 or 4090 configurations to see the performance advantages, however, as the RTX 4070 is closer in performance to the older RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of design, some users might prefer the 16:9 minimalistic look of the older GE77 over the 16:10 retro-inspired GE78 and vice versa. We wouldn't call one better than the other in terms of aesthetics, but we'll give the edge to the GE78 for its stronger hinges and larger keys and clickpad."
