The MSI GP66 Leopard is more suited if you prioritize gaming or graphically intensive tasks due to its higher-end graphics card. The tradeoff is that it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the MSI Prestige 16. The Prestige 16, on the other hand, offers a higher resolution and brighter display, more storage, and more RAM, which can be beneficial for multitasking and professional work. Additionally, it's lighter and has a longer battery life, making it more suitable for portability and general use or business applications, but it's not optimized for high-end gaming or 3D work due to its integrated graphics. The MSI GP66 Leopard is good for gaming and AI, while the MSI Prestige 16 is only fair.
The MSI GP66 Leopard stands out for gaming and 3D applications with its Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU and a high screen refresh rate, important for smooth gameplay, whereas the MSI Prestige 16, despite having a lower-performing Iris Xe GPU, offers a higher resolution for better screen quality and a marginally higher refresh rate, which is still suitable for gaming and supports a more vibrant display for creative work. While the Leopard may deliver a more fluid experience in graphics-intensive games with its better GPU, the Prestige 16 provides a balance between decent gaming capabilities and crisp image quality for productivity tasks.

The MSI Prestige 16 has a better screen than the MSI GP66 Leopard for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MSI GP66 Leopard offers a high resolution and brightness level making it well-suited for general use, but its lack of extensive color gamut coverage means it's not the ideal choice for engineering and design professionals needing precise color accuracy. Conversely, the MSI Prestige 16 shines in both general use and professional design work due to its superior screen resolution, brightness, and color gamut, allowing for vibrant and accurate visuals. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D work because they lack the high refresh rates required for smooth and responsive visuals in fast-paced environments.

How the MSI GP66 Leopard and the MSI Prestige 16 compare to other laptops
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
"The MSI Prestige 16 Evo: 2023's best value 16” thin & light laptop with i7-13700H. One of the top choices for professionals and students seeking a high-performance, portable computing solution in 2023. While the MSI Prestige 16 Evo A13M may not boast the most striking design compared to some other 16" options, its relatively "safe" styling lends itself well to professional and educational environments. Significantly, it doesn't compromise on essential features like port selection or cooling performance, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient thermal management. The 16 Evo A13M offers an excellent combination of performance, portability, and functionality, making it a compelling choice for professionals and students alike."
