The MSI Pulse GL66, with its superior GPU, is well-suited for gaming, 3D rendering, or intensive engineering tasks. However, it has a lower battery life and is heavier, making it less portable than the Razer Book 13. On the other hand, the Razer Book 13 offers longer battery life, a higher-resolution touchscreen, and a more compact and lighter build, which is more convenient for carrying around and for general use. Both laptops have comparable processing power and memory, but if you prioritize gaming or demanding tasks, the MSI is a better fit, whereas for portability and longer usage away from power outlets, the Razer is preferable. The MSI Pulse GL66 is good for gaming and AI, while the Razer Book 13 is only fair.
The MSI Pulse GL66 offers a superior gaming and 3D experience due to its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and a high screen refresh rate of 144 Hz, which renders fast-moving visuals more smoothly. In contrast, the Razer Book 13 comes with an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a standard screen refresh rate of 60 Hz, resulting in good but not optimized performance for gaming and 3D applications.

The Razer Book 13 has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MSI Pulse GL66's display, while adequate for activities like browsing and productivity, has limited color accuracy and a standard refresh rate, making it less ideal for color-sensitive engineering and design tasks, and not suitable for high-end gaming due to its lack of a high refresh rate. The Razer Book 13, with a higher resolution and brightness, offers a better visual experience for general use and detail-oriented tasks like engineering designs, but its standard refresh rate doesn’t cater to the smooth visuals required for gaming and 3D work. Despite having good panel types, neither laptop is optimal for gaming and 3D because they don't have the high refresh rates needed for fluid motion and fast-paced visuals.

The Razer Book 13 and MSI Pulse GL66 are both good for general use.
The MSI Pulse GL66 offers a high-performance CPU and ample RAM for multitasking with a quality IPS display, but it's heavier and has short battery life, making it less portable than the lighter Razer Book 13, which has a longer battery life, a sharper screen with higher pixel density and brightness, and a more compact build, although its integrated GPU is less powerful than the MSI's, making it less suitable for graphics-intensive tasks. Both laptops provide substantial storage and high-quality keyboards, but the Razer Book 13's superior portability and screen may appeal more to users who prioritize mobility and display quality, while the MSI is tailored towards those requiring more computing power.

How the MSI Pulse GL66 and the Razer Book 13 compare to other laptops
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
"The Razer Book is like an XPS 13, but faster. The Book 13 combines the design philosophy and performance of a Blade Stealth with the 16:10 display of a Dell XPS 13 for an impressive piece of hardware. Office users who want something more stylish than the typical Dell, HP or Lenovo will certainly find themselves drawn to this Razer subnotebook. If your priorities are to have the best-looking and fastest 13-inch laptop in the office over auxiliary features, however, then the Book 13 proudly fulfills that niche."
