The MSI Pulse GL66 is usually less expensive and might serve well for general gaming and engineering tasks; however, it has shorter battery life and is slightly heavier, which impacts portability. The Razer Blade 15 costs more but offers a higher-resolution display, better battery life, and a more portable design, which can be beneficial for general use and professional tasks that demand screen clarity and color accuracy. Consider the Razer Blade 15 if you value a sharper, brighter screen and longer unplugged use, or the MSI Pulse GL66 for a more cost-effective option with robust performance for computing and gaming. The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI Pulse GL66 is good.
The Razer Blade 15 outperforms the MSI Pulse GL66 for engineering and design due to its superior CPU (Intel i7-12800H vs. i7-11800H), a more powerful GPU (Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti vs. RTX 3070), and better screen quality with higher resolution and color accuracy. Despite the MSI's merits, including a capable processor and GPU, the Razer has a more advanced GPU and higher resolution display, which is crucial for engineering and design tasks requiring detailed visuals and computational power, although its slimmer and lighter design compromises on portability and makes it less robust against operating noise.

The Razer Blade 15 has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MSI Pulse GL66, with its fair screen quality for general use, balances resolution and brightness but lacks the exceptional color accuracy and panel technology that might make it stand out. On the other hand, the Razer Blade 15's screen impresses with high resolution, brightness, and a wide color range, crucial for detailed engineering graphics and consistent color rendering. However, for immersive gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to their lower refresh rates, which are key for smooth motion and quick visual feedback.

"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
