The MSI Pulse GL66 is generally less expensive and more portable but has a lower battery capacity, smaller screen, and lesser performance capabilities compared to the MSI Raider GE77Hx. Conversely, the MSI Raider GE77Hx offers higher storage capacity, a faster and more powerful main processor, a superior GPU, and a larger battery which translates to somewhat better battery life. The Raider also has a larger, higher-resolution screen that may be more suitable for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks due to its better color accuracy and contrast. If you prioritize performance and screen quality for complex tasks, the Raider is a stronger choice, while the Pulse GL66 is more suited for general use and those who prefer a balance between cost and portability. The MSI Raider GE77Hx is very good for general use, while the MSI Pulse GL66 is good.
The MSI Pulse GL66 offers reasonable portability and battery life, making it good for general use, with ample power from its CPU and a quality keyboard, but its screen and speaker quality are not as high-ranked. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE77Hx has a better CPU, more storage, and superior screen quality, which contributes to its very good standing for general use, despite being less portable and having a larger screen that diminishes its battery life compared to the GL66.

The MSI Raider GE77Hx has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MSI Pulse GL66's display offers adequate resolution and brightness for daily tasks and standard design work, but the colors may not be as vibrant or accurate as needed for professional engineering and design work due to a narrower color gamut coverage. The MSI Raider GE77Hx, with its superior color accuracy and broader color gamut, provides an enhanced visual experience that is vital for detailed engineering and design work, but for gaming and 3D applications, where refresh rates are crucial, both laptops fall short, potentially making fast-paced scenes less smooth. Despite the GL66's limitations, its screen could still be satisfactory for casual users and students in engineering, while the GE77Hx stands out for more demanding design professionals who prioritize image quality over gaming performance.

"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
