The MSI GE66 Raider is a high-end laptop with more storage, larger memory, a more powerful processor, and GPU, making it better suited for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning, while also featuring a higher resolution display that can be beneficial for engineering applications. However, it comes at a higher price and has a lower battery life compared to the MSI GP66 Leopard, which is a mid-range laptop and could be a cost-effective option for general use and less demanding engineering purposes, offering sufficient performance for most tasks at a lower cost and with longer battery life. The MSI GE66 Raider is very good for gaming and AI, while the MSI GP66 Leopard is good.
The MSI GE66 Raider excels in gaming and 3D tasks due to its superior Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPU and a high-resolution screen which offers an immersive experience, albeit with a lower refresh rate. In comparison, the MSI GP66 Leopard, while still strong with an Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU, provides smoother motion for fast-paced games with its higher refresh rate but at a lower screen resolution, making it slightly less ideal for high-detail 3D work.

The MSI GE66 Raider has a better screen than the MSI GP66 Leopard for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The MSI GE66 Raider excels in screen quality for general use and engineering tasks due to its high resolution and brightness, ensuring crisp visuals and clear text, alongside comprehensive color coverage that is crucial for accurately rendering designs. However, its lower refresh rate detracts from its appeal for gaming and 3D applications, where smooth motion is key. Meanwhile, the MSI GP66 Leopard offers good performance in both general use and engineering contexts through respectable resolution and capable color range but similarly falls short in gaming and 3D due to its less optimal refresh rate.

"The MSI Raider GE66 12UHS notebook passes with flying colors. The GE66 is a high-end notebook with strong performance. The keyboard and trackpad are still very good and score well with precise inputs as well as high build quality. Thanks to a new liquid metal cooling solution, the Intel Core i9 12900HK brings a performance increase of around 50 percent over the predecessor's Intel Core i9 10980HK. The installed graphics card in our device delivers up to 30 percent higher frame rates than the RTX 2070 Super in the MSI GE66 10SFS."
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
