If you're looking for a cost-effective option for basic computing tasks like web browsing, document editing, and media consumption, the Maypug 15" Laptop is significantly less expensive and should suffice. However, if you require a laptop for more demanding work such as gaming, 3D modeling, or video editing, the MSI Pulse GL66 offers a powerful Intel i7 processor and RTX 3070 graphics card, but this comes at a higher price point. The GL66 also has a better display with higher resolution and faster refresh rate, which is great for multimedia and gaming, but it's heavier and may have a shorter battery life than more budget-friendly options like the Maypug. The MSI Pulse GL66 has a better screen than the Maypug 15" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Maypug 15" Laptop's screen falls short across various applications due to limited resolution and low brightness, making text less crisp and colors less vivid, which is particularly noticeable in detailed engineering work and color-critical design tasks. The MSI Pulse GL66 offers a fair screen quality for general and engineering uses by providing decent resolution and acceptable brightness, but its color range may not fully satisfy professionals needing precise color accuracy. For gaming and 3D, the MSI's fair resolution and standard panel type do not completely disappoint, but its lower refresh rate can hinder the smooth visual experience that fast-paced games and 3D graphics demand.

"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
