If portability is a high priority and cost is a consideration, the XPG Xenia 14 is lighter, more compact, and generally less expensive than the LG Gram 17. However, the LG Gram 17 offers a larger screen with higher resolution and more storage space, which may be beneficial for general use and multitasking. For intensive engineering tasks, keep in mind that neither laptop is optimized for high-demand graphics or processing, but both should handle general engineering software adequately. The LG Gram 17 has longer battery life, which could be an advantage for long work sessions away from power sources. On the other hand, the Xenia 14, while having a shorter battery life, scores higher on portability due to its smaller size and lighter weight. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 17 is very good for general use, while the XPG Xenia 14 is good.
The LG Gram 17 stands out for general use due to its larger, higher-resolution screen which provides more workspace and clearer display, a more powerful CPU, and significant extra RAM that complement its sizable storage, enhancing multitasking and smooth operation. On the other hand, the XPG Xenia 14 excels in portability and has strong general performance, matched with a high-quality keyboard and good battery life, making it a solid choice for on-the-go users who value a balance between functionality and mobility.

The LG Gram 17 is very good for engineering and design, while the XPG Xenia 14 is only fair.
The LG Gram 17 is praised for engineering and design due to its larger 17-inch screen with higher resolution and color coverage, complemented by a powerful processor and ample RAM, making it ideal for intricate tasks and detailed visuals, although it's less portable. The XPG Xenia 14, while more portable and also suitable for design and engineering, offers a smaller 14-inch display and less RAM, which are compensated with a quality keyboard and a quieter operating noise, but may limit performance during highly demanding workloads.

The LG Gram 17 has a better screen than the XPG Xenia 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The LG Gram 17 and XPG Xenia 14 both offer high resolution and brightness, which is essential for clarity and visibility in general use, making them suitable choices for everyday tasks and productivity. For engineering and design work, their screens are able to display a wide range of colors accurately, but they lack the higher refresh rates desired for smooth rendering in gaming and 3D applications. As such, while these laptops are great for general use and professional creative tasks, they may not provide the most fluid experience for gaming or 3D modeling where fast refresh rates are crucial.

How the LG Gram 17 and the XPG Xenia 14 compare to other laptops
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
"The Xenia 14 is a top 14-inch laptop under 1 kg. ADATA isn't exactly known for its laptops and so we weren't expecting much from its first 14-inch Ultrabook. With that said, we're pleasantly surprised by how well the Xenia 14 looks and performs. Not only is it incredibly light, but it has a color accurate 16:10 display, high CPU and GPU performance, easy RAM and SSD serviceability, plenty of port options including Thunderbolt 4, and long battery life. It packs a lot of punch and features considering the size and weight to be better than even the LG Gram series."
