The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i offers a superior display with Mini LED technology and a higher resolution, making it excellent for visual tasks and general use. It's also more portable due to its thinner and lighter design, and it comes with the latest hardware including a newer Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and an Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU, which provides good performance for creative tasks and light gaming. The Yoga Pro 9i has a touchscreen, a backlit keyboard, and advanced security features like a fingerprint reader. However, it commands a higher price and has fewer ports, which might necessitate dongles for extensive connectivity.
On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 is a more budget-friendly option with a focus on gaming and intensive tasks. It features a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU, which offers better performance for 3D rendering, gaming, and machine learning compared to the Yoga Pro 9i. The GL66 has a faster refresh rate screen, which is beneficial for smoother gameplay, and provides a wider range of ports for connecting multiple devices without adapters. However, its screen is not touch-enabled, it lacks advanced security features, and it's bulkier, making it less ideal for frequent travelers.
In summary, if you prioritize portability, a high-quality display, and newer hardware for everyday use and light creative work, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is the way to go. But if you're looking for a laptop that can handle more demanding graphics tasks and gaming at a lower price point, and you don't mind a heavier, bulkier design, the MSI Pulse GL66 would be a better fit. How the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
