The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 is typically less expensive than the MSI Pulse GL66 and offers higher screen resolution and a more color-accurate display, which is ideal for general use and some engineering tasks. It also provides longer battery life and is more portable due to its lighter weight. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 has a higher performance graphics card but offers a lower battery life and less portability due to being heavier. The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering screen quality for general use, the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14's display, with its superior resolution and brightness, provides a sharper and more vibrant viewing experience than the MSI Pulse GL66. For engineering and design tasks that demand precise color representation, the Lenovo's coverage of professional color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB ensures more accurate color rendition, which is less pronounced on the MSI. However, for 3D uses where smooth motion is key, both laptops fall short due to their lower refresh rates, impacting the fluidity of fast-paced visuals despite the Lenovo's better panel type and resolution.

How the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 is an attractive, portable laptop that’s ideal if you need a combination of CPU and GPU performance. It also nails the fundamentals with solid connectivity, an enjoyable keyboard, a large touchpad, and top-notch webcam. Display quality is a weakness, but it’s an acceptable compromise for the laptop’s extremely competitive $1,199 MSRP. The Slim Pro 7 is a versatile, affordable laptop and hard to beat for the price."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
