The Lenovo Legion Slim 7's higher price brings better performance for intensive engineering tasks, 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming due to a more powerful GPU and greater storage capacity, with decent portability thanks to its slimmer design and longer battery life. By contrast, the Lenovo LOQ 16, being more affordable, still delivers satisfactory performance for engineering and general use, but with less visual fidelity due to a lower resolution and color accuracy, and reduced portability because of its heavier weight and shorter battery life. If budget is a concern and you require moderate capabilities for gaming and professional work, the LOQ 16 is a sensible option. However, if you prioritize higher performance and a better display for more demanding tasks and can invest more, the Legion Slim 7 is the stronger choice. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 excels because it has a high-resolution display with excellent brightness and a panel type that delivers sharp images and vibrant colors, making it pleasant for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design work, this laptop's display covers a wider range of colors, which is crucial for accurately rendering visuals in applications that demand color precision, but the refresh rate isn't as high, deeming it less suitable for fast-paced gaming or 3D animation. The Lenovo LOQ 16, while also good for general use and engineering due to similar reasons, falls short in gaming and 3D work because of its lower refresh rate, which can make fast-moving images appear less smooth.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" and the Lenovo LOQ 16 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
