When choosing between the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i and the LG Gram 17, consider the following tradeoffs: the Lenovo offers higher performance suitable for gaming and intensive tasks due to its dedicated graphics card, but it is heavier and slightly thicker, making it less portable than the LG Gram, which is extremely lightweight and better for general use and mobility. The LG Gram also has a longer battery life, ideal for those who need to work on the go without frequently charging. The Lenovo is typically more expensive, which aligns with its gaming and performance-oriented features, whereas the LG Gram is a budget-friendlier option with superb portability and sufficient power for everyday tasks. PCMag

Mark Knapp | August 2023
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."

Sascha Mölck | August 2022
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
