The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) is a top-tier choice for those who prioritize performance and are willing to pay a premium for the latest technology. Its superior processor and graphics card make it an excellent fit for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning. The high refresh rate and resolution also cater to professionals who require precision and speed in their workflow, such as engineers and content creators. However, its heavier weight and larger size mean it's less portable than some other options. On the other hand, the MSI GP66 Leopard offers a more midrange price point with a strong balance of performance and features. It's equipped with a capable processor and a previous-generation graphics card that still delivers robust gaming and creative performance, though not at the level of the Lenovo. The MSI's lower resolution screen may not be as crisp, but it does offer a good balance for those who want a responsive gaming experience without the extra cost. It's also slightly more portable and has a design that's more understated, which might appeal to those who prefer a less aggressive gaming aesthetic. In summary, if cutting-edge performance and a high-quality display are paramount and you're less concerned with portability and cost, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) is the way to go. However, if you're looking for a solid all-arounder that won't break the bank and is easier to carry around, the MSI GP66 Leopard is a compelling option. Give Feedback

Florian Glaser | February 2023
"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | December 2021
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
