For a balance of performance and portability with a focus on gaming, engineering tasks, and general use, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2024) is a strong contender. It offers a high-performance Intel i7 processor and a dedicated Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, ensuring smooth handling of demanding applications and games. The 16-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 2560 x 1600 resolution is ideal for fast-moving visuals and detailed graphics, though it's not a touchscreen. Its robust build and additional features like a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, and ample connectivity options make it a versatile choice. However, it's heavier and less portable than the XPG Xenia 14.
The XPG Xenia 14, on the other hand, is designed for those who prioritize mobility and general productivity. It's lighter, thinner, and has a longer battery life, making it an excellent choice for on-the-go use. While it doesn't match the Legion's gaming and engineering performance due to its integrated Intel i5-1135G7 Iris Xe graphics, it's still capable of handling everyday tasks with ease. The Xenia 14 also features a Full HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate, which is suitable for general use but not for intensive gaming or high-refresh-rate demands. Its lower price point reflects its positioning as a mid-range laptop focused on value and portability.
In summary, if you need top-tier performance for gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering tasks and don't mind a bulkier device, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2024) is the way to go. However, if you're looking for a lightweight, efficient laptop for everyday use and value battery life and portability, the XPG Xenia 14 would be a better fit. Give Feedback

How the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2024) and the XPG Xenia 14 compare to other laptops
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
"The Xenia 14 is a top 14-inch laptop under 1 kg. ADATA isn't exactly known for its laptops and so we weren't expecting much from its first 14-inch Ultrabook. With that said, we're pleasantly surprised by how well the Xenia 14 looks and performs. Not only is it incredibly light, but it has a color accurate 16:10 display, high CPU and GPU performance, easy RAM and SSD serviceability, plenty of port options including Thunderbolt 4, and long battery life. It packs a lot of punch and features considering the size and weight to be better than even the LG Gram series."
