For a balance of performance and versatility, consider the MSI Summit E16 Flip. It's slightly more affordable, has a touchscreen, and is a 2-in-1, making it adaptable for various use cases. While it has a less powerful GPU, it's still capable for general use and light gaming or 3D tasks. Its battery life is longer, and it's more portable, making it ideal for on-the-go productivity. However, if you prioritize raw performance for intensive gaming or engineering tasks, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2024) with its superior GPU and CPU would be the better choice, despite being less portable and having a shorter battery life. PCMag

Brian Westover | August 2023
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | October 2022
"The MSI Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop with pen, 16:10 display, and RTX 3050 Ti. The Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop from the business segment that primarily targets creative users. MSI combines a 16-inch touchscreen in the 16:10 format with a powerful midrange GPU. While the 2-in-1 laptop from MSI isn't meant for everybody, it should definitely attract some followers. The touchscreen display (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) covers the DCI-P3 color space. This is accompanied by stable viewing angles, a good color reproduction, short response times, and a good contrast level."
