The Lenovo Legion 9i is a top-tier gaming laptop with exceptional performance for demanding tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning, thanks to its powerful i9 processor and RTX 4080 graphics card. It has a high-resolution Mini LED display with vibrant colors and a fast refresh rate, making it ideal for professionals and gamers who require precision and speed. However, it's heavier and less portable, with a shorter battery life, and comes at a premium price. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 16i offers a more balanced experience at a lower midrange price. It's equipped with a capable i7 processor and RTX 4050 graphics, suitable for general use and light gaming or creative work. Its IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate is good for everyday tasks, and it's more portable with longer battery life. While it may not excel in intensive tasks like the Legion 9i, it provides a better balance of performance, portability, and price for the average user. Give Feedback

PCMag

Matthew Buzzi | December 2023
"The Lenovo Legion 9i is meant as a top-end flagship showcase for enthusiasts, and on that, it delivers. You'll find flashier designs in this price tier—Razer’s all-metal build in a similarly sized laptop like the Blade 16, or monstrous 18-inch machines—but this is a well-thought-out laptop. The chassis is trim for a 16-inch powerhouse, the lid is unique, and bespoke liquid cooling takes performance to the next level."

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | September 2023
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
