The Lenovo Legion 7i Pro is a premium choice with higher storage capacity, more RAM, and a more powerful processor and graphics card, suitable for intensive tasks like 3D rendering or engineering work, but it is also more expensive and heavier, which could affect portability. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 is less expensive and lighter but comes with lower storage, less RAM, and a less powerful processor and graphics card, making it less suited for demanding tasks but possibly a better option for general use and light gaming. The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is excellent for gaming and AI, while the MSI Pulse GL66 is good.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is considered excellent for gaming and 3D due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU and higher screen refresh rate of 240, compared to the MSI Pulse GL66's Nvidia RTX 3070 and refresh rate of 144, making the former better suited for intensive graphics tasks. While both have quality IPS displays, the Lenovo's superior GPU and refresh rate offer a smoother and more visually detailed gaming experience, despite the possible higher cost and lower battery life than the MSI model.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering screen quality for general use, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i likely has a display that offers a higher resolution and superior brightness, making texts sharper and the screen easier to view in various lighting conditions. For engineering and design, the Lenovo’s display probably covers a wider range of color gamuts such as DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, which ensures more accurate color reproduction critical for these tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the Lenovo's lower refresh rate compared to competitors could result in less fluid motion, while the MSI Pulse GL66, despite having fair screen quality overall, may also lag behind with insufficient refresh rates for the smooth visuals demanded by fast-paced games or 3D rendering.

"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
