The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is a lower midrange priced laptop, less expensive than the MSI Raider GE77Hx, and delivers good all-around performance for general use and gaming. However, the MSI Raider GE77Hx, being in the upper midrange category, offers higher performance especially for more demanding tasks like intensive engineering, 3D graphics, and machine learning. It also has a larger screen size which might be beneficial for those tasks but makes it less portable and heavier than the Lenovo. In exchange for the higher price of the MSI, you gain a boost in power and screen real estate at the cost of portability and extra expense. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE77Hx has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" offers a pleasant viewing experience for general tasks with its high-resolution display and brightness, making text clear and images vivid. Engineers and designers would appreciate its color accuracy for detailed work, though it may lack some color range compared to specialized monitors. However, for gaming and 3D applications where motion smoothness is key, the relatively lower refresh rate may not keep up with fast-paced visuals, leading to less fluid gameplay and animation.

"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
