The Lenovo Legion 5 and LG Gram 17 cater to different needs. The Legion 5, typically more affordable, is built for gaming and intensive tasks with its high-performance hardware, but it’s heavier and may have a shorter battery life. The LG Gram 17 offers exceptional portability and longer battery life, ideal for productivity and everyday use; however, it may not handle demanding software as smoothly as the Legion. If gaming or resource-heavy applications are a priority, and you are okay with a heavier laptop, the Legion could suit you well. If you prefer a lightweight laptop with a larger screen for general use and prioritize battery life, the LG Gram is suitable. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 17 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good.
The LG Gram 17 excels in general use largely due to its lighter weight and longer battery life, offering greater portability and convenience for everyday tasks compared to the Lenovo Legion 5 15", which, while having a high-performance CPU and GPU, is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less ideal for on-the-go use despite its good screen quality and processing power.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the LG Gram 17 for general use, and gaming and AI, while the LG Gram 17 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo Legion 5's display provides sharp images and good color rendition which appeals to everyday tasks and engineering demands; however, its lower refresh rate is a drawback for fast-paced gaming where screen fluidity is key. The LG Gram 17's larger screen with high resolution and brightness enhances visibility and accuracy for both general and engineering uses, yet for gaming, similar to the Lenovo, it falls short on delivering the smoother visuals that a higher refresh rate affords. Both screens lack the rapid refresh capabilities sought by gamers and 3D designers but offer qualities that satisfy general use and detail-oriented tasks in engineering and design.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the LG Gram 17 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
