The Lenovo Legion 5 15" offers superior performance suitable for engineering tasks, 3D applications, and gaming, thanks to a more powerful processor and graphics card. However, it's heavier and not as portable, which could be a downside if you travel a lot. The Lenovo V15, on the other hand, is more budget-friendly, lighter, and offers better portability, but it has lower performance capabilities due to its processor and integrated graphics, making it more suited for general use rather than intensive tasks. Consider how critical performance is against the cost and portability when making your decision. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo V15 is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" excels in engineering and design because it has a more powerful CPU, a superior dedicated GPU, and a higher quality screen with better color accuracy and resolution, which are very important for demanding tasks and detailed work. The Lenovo V15, while lighter and therefore more portable, has a less capable integrated GPU, lower screen quality, and a battery that doesn't last as long, making it only fair for engineering and design as these components are critical for such applications.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the Lenovo V15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Lenovo Legion 5's superior panel type, resolution, and brightness make for clear, crisp visuals, but the Lenovo V15's screen may appear dull due to its lower quality in these aspects. When it comes to engineering and design, the Legion 5 provides a wider range of colors with better accuracy which is paramount for detailed work, whereas the V15's limitations in color reproduction can hinder the precision required for professional projects. Lastly, gaming and 3D applications benefit greatly from the higher refresh rate of the Legion 5, offering smoother motion and better responsiveness, while the V15's screen may not deliver the fluid experience desired by gamers and professionals working with 3D graphics.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" and Lenovo V15 are both good for general use.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" offers better performance with its higher-end CPU and dedicated graphics useful for more demanding tasks, but it's less portable with a heavier weight and shorter battery life compared to the Lenovo V15, which has a lower-tier CPU and integrated graphics suitable for lighter use and benefits from greater portability due to its lighter weight and longer battery life. Screen quality in the Legion is superior with a higher resolution and display panel, but the V15 compensates with an excellent heat management and a quieter operation, making it a good fit for everyday tasks without the need for intense computational power.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the Lenovo V15 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The strengths of the Lenovo V15 G2 AMD lie in its expandability of the RAM and allowing you to use two SSDs, in its performance that goes beyond everyday applications thanks to AMD's hexa-core CPU and Vega-7 iGPU, in its good keyboard, and its relatively robust case. In addition, the battery life of the office laptop is also acceptable, and the device stays cool and relatively quiet."
