The Lenovo Legion 5 15" offers a better visual experience with a higher screen resolution, which can be great for gaming or creative work, but the larger display might be less portable. It also has a higher screen refresh rate, which can make for smoother visuals in high-speed games or videos. The Lenovo LOQ 16, however, tends to have better thermal performance, which can be essential for long gaming sessions or intense workloads. It's slightly heavier though, and the display doesn't have as high a resolution or refresh rate as the Legion 5 15". Consider what matters more for your needs, whether it's the screen quality and size or the sustained performance and thermals, when making your choice. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo LOQ 16 has a better screen for content creation.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" likely has a high-resolution display with good brightness and panel quality that satisfies general users and satisfies engineering and design needs with a decent range of color gamuts, but the lower refresh rate compromises the gaming and 3D experience. Similarly, the Lenovo LOQ 16 also offers commendable brightness and resolution which caters well to general use and has sufficient color accuracy for engineering and design tasks, yet it doesn't prioritize the high refresh rate crucial for smooth visuals in gaming and 3D. The absence of a high refresh rate in both models can make fast-paced visuals feel less fluid, which can be a downside for users focused on gaming or working with dynamic 3D content.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" and Lenovo LOQ 16 are both good for gaming and AI.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" with its Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and higher screen refresh rate of 165Hz is excellent for gaming and 3D applications, offering smooth visuals and better graphics performance, while the Lenovo LOQ 16 also provides a solid gaming experience with an Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU and a 144Hz refresh rate, but with a bit less graphical horsepower and smoothness in fast-paced scenes. Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Lenovo Legion 5 15" to be very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo LOQ 16 is good.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is highly suitable for engineering and design use because it features a strong CPU and GPU combination along with ample RAM, which supports demanding software applications, and its high-resolution screen provides excellent clarity for detailed work. How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the Lenovo LOQ 16 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
