The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 is a robust choice for those prioritizing performance in gaming, engineering tasks, and 3D rendering, thanks to its powerful AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia RTX GPU, which also supports hardware ray tracing and DLSS. It offers a high-refresh-rate screen with excellent color coverage, making it suitable for fast-motion content and engineering work. However, it's heavier and less portable, with a shorter battery life compared to the Samsung. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 is a versatile 2-in-1 with a touchscreen OLED display, providing vibrant colors and deep contrasts, ideal for general use and media consumption. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon processor delivers decent performance with excellent energy efficiency, contributing to its longer battery life and superior portability due to its thin and light design. While it's suitable for light gaming and everyday tasks, it may not match the Legion's performance in intensive applications. Consider the Legion Pro 5 if you need top-tier performance and don't mind a bulkier device, but if you value portability, battery life, and a versatile touchscreen display for general use, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 is the way to go. PCMag

Mark Knapp | July 2023
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
