When deciding between the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and the Razer Blade 15, consider how you'll use the laptop. The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is less portable but offers superior performance for 3D and machine learning tasks, it also comes with a numpad if that's important for your productivity. The Razer Blade 15 is more portable, has a higher refresh rate which is great for fast-paced gaming, and it also boasts a higher-quality build. Both have ample storage and memory for general and engineering use, but the Lenovo has better battery life for extended usage away from power outlets, while the Razer offers a more premium look and feel. PCMag

Mark Knapp | July 2023
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | March 2022
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
